Movito, your AI companion: notice
In short
- Movito is an AI, in text chat, in voice and when it helps you do things in the app. It is never a person.
- It gives general information and wellbeing support. It is not a lawyer, a doctor, a psychologist or a therapist, and it does not give legal advice, diagnoses or treatment.
- Movito runs on our own servers in the EU, with our own models. Your messages are not sent to a third-party AI company and are not used to train models.
- Memory is off until you turn it on. You can see and delete it at any time.
- Movito can prepare an action, for example a search, a booking request or a reminder, but nothing is saved or sent until you confirm it.
- If you write that you or someone else is in danger, Movito stops and shows emergency numbers. In an emergency in Italy call 112.
Movito is the MovItaly relocation copilot. Movito is an AI. It is not a person, and it is not a lawyer, accountant, doctor, psychologist or immigration officer. It offers emotional support and general information, not legal or medical advice. This notice explains what Movito does, what data it uses and what you should keep in mind. Movito is offered by Lodato Solutions LLC, a company organised in Delaware, United States. The controller of your personal data is described in our privacy policy.
You are talking to an AI
Whenever you use Movito you are dealing with an artificial intelligence system, and the app tells you so: in the chat header, on the voice screen, in the spoken greeting before the first answer and on the copilot bar that sits on every page. This is the disclosure required by Article 50(1) of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689). Our store listings say it too. Text written by the model and answers spoken by a synthetic voice are marked as AI-generated in the app. We also add a machine-readable marking to synthetic audio where the technology allows it (Article 50(2); the date from which this applies to us is VERIFY with counsel, because the EU is still finalising it). Movito does not try to read your emotions from your voice or face, and it does not use any such system.
Information, not legal advice
Movito and the guides explain how procedures in Italy work, using official sources. They do not give you personal legal advice ("consulenza legale"), they do not prepare or file legal documents for you, and they do not replace a lawyer. For your own case, ask a lawyer (avvocato), an advice desk of a trade union or charity (patronato), or the competent office such as the Questura or the Prefettura. You can find independent professionals in the app. They are not Movito, and what they tell you is their own responsibility.
Wellbeing support, not therapy
Moving to a new country can be hard. Movito can listen, help you put things in order and suggest small steps. It is not a psychologist, a psychotherapist or a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor any condition, and it does not replace a professional. If you feel unwell for more than a short time, please talk to your doctor or a mental health service.
What Movito is, and what it is not
Movito listens when moving to a new country feels heavy, and answers questions about life and administration in Italy, such as permits, housing, health care, study and work. It writes its answers from the guides and articles in the Service and from a language model. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and it can misunderstand you. Please regard every answer as a starting point and check important points with the official source or a qualified professional before you act.
Who processes your messages
Movito runs on our own servers in the European Union (AWS eu-south-1, Milan). Your messages, your voice and the memory described below are not sent to any third-party AI provider, and they are not used to train any model, ours or anyone else's. If Movito is temporarily unavailable we do not fall back to an outside AI service; the fixed safety information described below still works. Movito is available only to signed-in users with premium access, except the introduction page and the safety help, which are free.
Voice
If you use your voice, the audio is turned into text and spoken answers are generated on our own servers. We do not store the audio: it is discarded as soon as the text is produced. Voice clips are limited to 60 seconds and text messages to 1,000 characters. Voice is a separate choice: we ask for your consent before the first voice use, and you can withdraw it at any time in the settings or by writing to To be confirmed. Spoken answers come from a synthetic voice, and the app says so. The text of what you said and of what Movito answered is stored like any other conversation, see "Logs and retention".
What Movito remembers, and your consent
Memory is off until you turn it on. If you do, Movito keeps short facts you mention, for example your city, your study plan or an appointment date, so that you do not have to repeat yourself. It keeps at most 50 facts, encrypted. You can see everything Movito remembers under "What Movito remembers", delete a single fact, or delete everything and withdraw your consent at any time. This stays possible even if your premium access ends. Deleting your account deletes all of it. If you share details that reveal health, religion, political opinions or your asylum procedure, Movito does not store them for users aged 14 to 17, and for adults it stores them only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
What Movito can do for you in the app
The copilot can search guides and professionals, prepare a booking request, set up a goal or checklist and create reminders. Movito only proposes. Every action that would save, send, book or change something is shown to you first, with what will happen, and runs only after you confirm it. You can edit it or say no, and you can undo some actions afterwards. Before you confirm, nothing has been written and no professional has been contacted. Movito never pays for you and never accepts terms on your behalf. Results marked "Sponsored" are paid placements of professionals, they are always labelled, and they are never shown to users aged 14 to 17. See "How ranking works" in the legal section of the app.
Logs and retention
We store your conversations so that you can read them again and so that we can look into problems. Conversations are linked to your account. Message text is not written to our general application logs. Conversations are deleted automatically 90 days after they are created, and sooner if you delete your account or ask us to delete them by writing to To be confirmed.
No automated decisions about you, no emotion recognition
Movito does not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. It does not approve, refuse or rank you for anything, and it does not decide whether you can book a professional or keep your subscription. If Movito cannot help with a topic, it says so and points you to a professional or to an official source. Handing a conversation over to a professional is always your own choice. Movito does not infer your emotions from your voice, face or writing, and it does not use your mood to sell you anything.
If you are in crisis
Movito checks each message for signs of danger, such as thoughts of self-harm, violence, abuse or trafficking. This check is a fixed list of phrases in the app languages. It runs before any model and does not need one. If it matches, Movito stops the normal conversation and shows a short, calm message with the numbers that fit the situation: 112 for any emergency in Italy, and, depending on the case, Telefono Amico for emotional distress, 1522 for violence against women, Telefono Azzurro 19696 and 114 for children and teenagers, and the anti-trafficking toll-free line. The numbers and opening hours were last confirmed against the official sources on: To be confirmed. The check is not perfect. If you are in danger, call 112 yourself and do not wait for Movito.
Safety and users aged 14 to 17
Movito checks messages for signs of danger, such as self-harm, violence, abuse or trafficking. This check is fixed and free, runs without any AI model, and works in all the app languages. On a match, Movito shows help information and emergency numbers (112 is always shown) instead of a generated answer. Movito refuses requests to forge documents or to avoid official controls. For users aged 14 to 17 Movito runs in a stricter safe mode, with narrower topics, a limited memory and more cautious answers, and we do not use their data for advertising. Users under 14 cannot have an account.
Languages
Movito answers fully in English and Italian. In other languages it may translate through English, and the quality can be lower. Languages marked "beta" in the app are still being checked. If you need to be sure of a meaning, ask a professional.
Report a bad answer
If an answer is wrong, harmful or upsetting, tap the rating buttons under the message and add a short comment, or write to To be confirmed with the date and the topic. We review reports and may correct the guides or change Movito. In an emergency, call 112 and do not wait for a reply from Movito.
Your consent
The first time you use Movito, and again if this notice changes in a meaningful way, we ask you to accept the text below. Memory has its own separate choice. You can withdraw your consent at any time by stopping the use of Movito or by writing to To be confirmed. Without consent the rest of the Service remains available.
