Subscription Terms
In short
The price depends on your country: EUR 3.99 in the first month and then EUR 14.99 a month in the standard tier, which covers everyone who lives in the EU or EEA, or EUR 4.99 and then EUR 24.99 a month in the high tier, and you always see your exact price before you pay. The subscription renews each month until you cancel, and you can cancel online in the place where you subscribed. We tell you in advance before any price change, and you can cancel before it applies. People under 18 can buy only through a parent or guardian. The full text follows.
About this document
These terms explain the MovItaly premium subscription, sold by Lodato Solutions LLC, a company organised in Delaware, United States ("we", "us"). They are part of the terms of service. Refunds and your right of withdrawal are explained in the refund policy. Your data is handled as described in the privacy policy.
What is free and what is premium
Opening an account is free, and the News section is free. Every other feature needs a premium subscription. If you use a premium feature without one, the Service answers that a subscription is required and shows you the offer. Premium counts as active when you hold a valid subscription from the App Store, from Google Play or on the web, or when we have granted you access ourselves. The News section needs no subscription. Single guides and the 24-hour assistant day pass can also be bought one by one, as described below. Booking a professional does not need a subscription, and messages inside a booking are free for both sides.
Points are not part of your subscription
Points (see "Points and referral rewards" in the terms) are earned only and are never sold or given for a payment. Redeeming points for a premium pass or a guide unlock is free of charge, does not start a paid subscription, does not use up or replace the introductory offer, and does not renew or lead to any charge. A premium pass ends on its date and your account returns to its previous plan. Points have no cash value and are not refunded.
Prices
The price depends on your country, and there are two tiers. The high tier applies in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Israel, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. The standard tier applies in every other country, including every country of the EU and the EEA. All prices include VAT where VAT is due.
| Tier | First month | After that |
|---|---|---|
| Standard (EU, EEA and all other countries) | EUR 3.99 | EUR 14.99 a month |
| High (the countries listed above) | EUR 4.99 | EUR 24.99 a month |
In the App Store and in Google Play your country is the country of your store account. The store shows the price in your local currency, so in the high tier it is close to EUR 4.99 and EUR 24.99 and may differ slightly because the stores convert and round it. On the web your country is the country that issued your payment card, and you pay in euro. If you live in the EU or EEA, you pay the standard price on the web whatever country issued your card; for this we use the country of residence you give us in your profile. Your price is set before you pay, you see it and confirm it before any charge, and your tier stays the same for as long as your subscription runs. We use no other personal data to set your price.
On every platform the introductory price applies for the first month only, and the regular price of EUR 14.99 (EUR 24.99 in the high tier) a month then applies. We email you before the introductory period ends. The exact offer for your account is always the one shown on the purchase screen before you buy.
Introductory offer, once per person
The introductory prices are offered once per person, not once per device or store. If you have subscribed before and then return, you do not get the introductory price again and pay the regular price of EUR 14.99 (EUR 24.99 in the high tier) a month. We use your account history, and the store's own rules for introductory offers, to apply this. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically each month at the regular price of EUR 14.99 (EUR 24.99 in the high tier) after the introductory month, until you cancel. Before you buy, the purchase screen shows the price you will pay now, the regular price that follows and the date of the next charge. You can cancel at any time, and you keep premium until the end of the period you have already paid for. We charge nothing for cancelling.
Notice of price steps
We never move you to a higher price without stating that price to you beforehand: the purchase screen shows the introductory price and the regular price before you buy, and on the web we also email you before the regular price starts. The Apple App Store and Google Play send their own notices on subscriptions bought there.
Single guides and the 24-hour assistant pass
You can buy one premium guide, or a pass that opens the assistant for 24 hours from the first time you use it. These are one-off purchases at the price shown before you pay. They do not renew and do not start a subscription. Payment channels, the checkout statements and refunds work as set out in this document and in the refund policy.
How to cancel
Cancelling is as easy as subscribing and works in the place where you subscribed.
- App Store: open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose MovItaly and tap Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play: open the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose MovItaly and tap Cancel subscription.
- Web: sign in at app.movitaly.ai and open your account page, then choose Manage subscription. This opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel and see your invoices.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you cannot cancel, write to To be confirmed and we will help you.
Who takes payment, and who may pay
Payments made in the iPhone or iPad app are taken by Apple, and payments made in the Android app are taken by Google. We manage those subscriptions through RevenueCat, which tells us whether your subscription is active. Payments made on the web are taken by Stripe. The mobile apps show no web price and no link to web checkout. Paying on the web is open only to people who are 18 or older. People aged 14 to 17 can buy only through the stores, where a parent or guardian controls purchases, for example with Apple Ask to Buy or Google Play parental controls, or through the guardian flow described in the parental consent notice. If you bought on one device and use another, open the app and choose Restore purchases to bring your subscription back.
Right of withdrawal on web purchases
If you are a consumer and buy on the web, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because premium access starts at once, we ask you to confirm two statements before you pay. The checkout shows two separate boxes, both of which must be ticked, and they are separate from the box that accepts the terms. The wording is:
[ ] I ask MovItaly to start my premium access immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period ends.
[ ] I understand that once the service has begun, I lose my right of withdrawal.
Without both boxes ticked, web checkout does not continue. For the subscription we still give you a practical way out during the first 14 days: you can use the withdraw function in your account, and then you pay only for the days you used, as the refund policy explains. Store purchases follow the withdrawal and refund rules of Apple or Google, as the refund policy explains. This clause does not affect your statutory rights for defective digital content or services.
Price changes and changes to these terms
If we change the introductory or the regular price, we tell you in advance, at least 30 days before the change reaches you, by email or in the app. You can cancel before the new price applies and you keep access until the end of the period already paid. On the stores, Apple or Google may also ask you to agree to a price rise, and without your agreement the subscription ends. Corrections that do not change the meaning may apply at once.
If we close your paid account
If we close your paid account and you are not at fault, we refund the unused part of the current paid period for web payments. For store payments the refund is made by Apple or Google. Details are in the refund policy.
